Stelios Koutroubinas is Meazon Co-Founder and CEO. Stelios is an expert in embedded electronics systems design. An electrical engineer by training, he has accumulated vast experience in designing market competitive microelectronic products and developing high caliber engineering teams.
Fresh from a PhD in electronics, Stelios spent 6 years at ATMEL, ending up as GM for their 150 person R&D division in Greece, where the team achieved major breakthroughs in Wifi chip design miniaturization for clients like D-Link, Cisco, HP, Netgear, 3COM and AT&T. He went on to senior leadership roles at ByteMobile working on restructuring and product design.
In 1996 he was appointed Technical Manager of a research team that developed communication systems, in the Research and Development Section of Data Communications Technologies Hellas, and in 1999 General Manager, Deputy Directors and CEO ATMEL Hellas AE section of ATMEL Multimedia & Communication Group which functioned as a design center for telecommunications products for ATMEL Corp. The company came to employ more than 100 engineers out of 140 employees. The aim was the research, design and development of products for the global market, wireless networks (WLAN IEEE 802.11), WVoIP, ADSL and Bluetooth with customers large companies in telecommunications as well as telecom operators states in Europe, America and Asia. (Cisco, HP, 3COM, AT & T, D-Link, Linksys, Senao, Netgear, France Telecom, Telecom Italia, Mitac) The company surpassed the first one million of products to have been sold in the global market containing chips designed in Greece in 2000. Since 2005, as founder and manager in BLUEdev Ltd. on the development and production of products using embedded computer systems. From 2006 in Bytemobile M.EPE he participated in the restructuring of the company in Greece and had a leading role in developing products of the parent company. From 1989 until today he participated in more than 30 research projects with roles respective to his experience. He has 12 publications in international conferences and journals as well as an invited article in Communication Systems Design. He has participated in four patents.
