Founder and CEO of A35 Capital Partners for 3 years

George is a seasoned Investment Banker, Private Equitier and serial entrepreneur. He has structured, negotiated and executed more than 100 transactions mainly in the Energy and Infra space, while he also (co-) founded a number of start-ups including i) A35 Capital Partners, a premier M&A advisory boutique, ii) Alantra Greece, the Greek subsidiary of Alantra Group the international financial services firm and iii) SouthBridge, the first structured credit fund in Greece targeting high quality lower midmarket companies.

He started his investment banking career in 2001 at Alpha Bank and subsequently led the Investment Banking activities of Alpha Bank. He then jointed Forthnet, a telecom and media Group as Corporate Finance Director leading the debt restructuring and consolidation efforts of the company. Between 2013 – 2014, George co-founded SouthBridge, the first structured credit fund in Greece with EIF being an anchor investor.

In February 2016, George established Alantra’s Greek office. Since then Alantra proved to be the most disruptive, well rooted and largest investment bank in Greece with 20 bankers on the ground. While at Alantra he advised the Greek government in the sale of DESFA S.A., the Greek gas TSO, achieving a 45% uplift in transaction value. Beginning of 2020, George founded A35 Capital Partners, a premier investment banking advisory boutique, which in essence was the first truly independent M&A advisor in Greece. While at A35 Capital Partners, George advised MotorOIl Hellas’ on its acquisition of 240MW RES portfolio from Fortress, and Macquarie’s on its acquisition of 49% in HEDNO, the Greek DSO.

George holds a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Manchester in the UK and a Bachelors Degree in Business Studies
