Position Summary
Meazon is strengthening its cloud and security operations with an experienced Senior Azure Administrator. This full-time, on-site role (Athens or Patras) focuses on secure design, operation, and continuous improvement of the Azure environment supporting our end-to-end IoT ecosystem.
The position involves managing Azure infrastructure, enforcing cloud-security best practices, implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, maintaining compliant deployments, and collaborating closely with software, data, and firmware engineering teams using native Azure tools to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable services.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure workloads using native Azure tools, ensuring operational reliability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and manage Azure security controls, including conditional access, RBAC, PIM, network security groups, and secure access policies.
- Administer Azure AD, monitoring identity governance, MFA enforcement, device security compliance, and SSO integrations.
- Oversee Azure security tooling including Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Sentinel, and security posture dashboards.
- Maintain secure network architectures (VNets, VPN gateways, firewalls, private endpoints, service endpoints).
- Support containerized and serverless compute environments (AKS, App Services, Functions), with emphasis on secure configurations.
- Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineering to support CI/CD security integration and cloud resource automation.
- Document architecture, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in Greece and residence within commuting distance of Athens or Patras.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven hands-on experience administering production-level Azure environments.
- Demonstrated experience implementing cloud-security practices.
Technical Skills
Azure Administration & Infrastructure
- Professional experience with Azure AD, RBAC, PIM, conditional access, and IAM governance.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, UDRs, VPN gateways, firewalls, load balancers).
- Demonstrated experience operating containerized workloads (AKS) and serverless components (Functions, Logic Apps).
- Competence in managing virtual machines, storage accounts, backup policies, availability sets/zones, and resource governance.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and brokers such as MQTT, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
Cloud Security
- Professional experience with compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST CSF).
- Experience with load balancing, serverless, and distributed architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Identity Protection.
- Proficiency in TLS/SSL management, certificates & cryptographic key protection.
- Experience applying Zero Trust principles in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with secure API access methods (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAS tokens).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and WebSockets.
- Competence in TLS/SSL, cryptographic methods, and secure coding practices.
Monitoring, Automation & DevOps
- Professional experience with infrastructure-as-code (ARM, Bicep, or Terraform).
- Professional experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics & , Application Insights.
- Strong professional experience in scripting skills (PowerShell, CLI, or Python) for automation and resource provisioning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).
